Our first product is Sonachur rice it is a short-grain, aromatic, and unpolished rice that is traditionally milled and mainly grown in Bhojpur, Rohtas, and parts of northern Bihar, India. It is known for its sweet, soft, and fragrant taste, and the cooked rice is fluffy, non-sticky, and has a popcorn-like aroma. Sonachur rice is harvested manually in the early morning, sundried for 2–3 days, and stored in thatched granaries with split bamboo walls.

Interestingly, the fragrance of Sonachur rice attracts deer in the areas where it is cultivated, but it does not cause any harm to rice crops 😊
